Linda Thompson Gonzalez – March 6

Linda Thompson Gonzalez has over 30 years of public service experience. She is the mother of three adult children and six grandchildren. Linda started her career as an attorney for small and minority business startups. When her children left for college, Linda joined the U.S. Foreign Service, serving as a senior diplomat for 14 years until her retirement in 2014, back to Florida.

She served as a public Affairs Office at the U.S. Embassies in Bogota Colombia, Montevideo, Uruguay, Buenos AIres, Argentina; and Lima Peru.

She joined the U.S. Department of State  as legal counsel to the Inspector General and later became the Assistant Inspector General for Congressional and Media Affairs. Linda was appointed to the Broward Commission on the Status of Women and is an active member of multiple community organizations including the League of Women Voters and the Pompano Beach Rotary Club.
